Engine suddenly will not start
Suddenly my 300 inline 6 will not start. It turns over fine but will not fire up. I have checked fuel pump, fuel filter and they are fine. It is getting gas. I have replaced distributor, rotor, plugs, plug wires, PCV valve, air filter. It seems like it is either a carburator problem or something electrical...maybe timing?? Any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated. It has had a slight miss for a while but this problem seems to just happen with no warning. It happened once before but then it fired up after about 10 mins of intermittant cranking. This time it will not despite lots of trying.

TFI module. Located on the distributor, this $50 part + $9 for the wrench has been the cause of thousands of tow-truck miles, a major class action law suit (you are too late) and if you believe the stories, death and injury.
If you do not have spark, swap the module as that is your best bet.

True - I would guess it's the TFI module - I guess I've been lucky, never had one go out; but, I know of plenty of others. I scrapped my TFI and installed the DSII/HEI system and couldn't be happier.
