Help!I have had a problem with my truck lately can anyone help?I have had problems with my engine dying.I thought It could be the fuel filter but still having the same problem.I can drive it back and forth to work all week no problems.About 70 miles round trip on the freeway.When running around town is when it seems to die.You can go out the next morning and it starts right up.It seems to run just fine when it is running.Anyone have any ideas?Would apprecate any input.Thanks Tony Not very happy of 2000 F250 Super Duty
When did you last change your oil? if it is close or past due, it could be braking down when it gets hot and getting air in the high pressure oil system, which is used to operate the injectors, though you would probably also notice a loss in power at the same time. if not, camshaft position sensor is most likely the cause.
Could be that you are getting air into the fuel. A diesel will not run properly if air is introduced into the fuel. Also, you may check the injector pump. Sounds like a warranty problem on your 2000.
