Powerstroke+Super Chips=bad ECM?????

Powerstroke+Super Chips=bad ECM?????
My son has a 1999 F350 powerstroke and recently installed a 3 stage Super Chips programmer. Now he is getting codes indicating ECM problems and the truck runs terrible. Could there be a connection or coincedence?

Its normal to get PCM error codes for that. The PCM does a checksum on the ROM and if its modified from a stock checksum it throws and error code. Has nothing to do with problems, the code will always be there when its tuned.
