93-95 lightning
hey guys i have wanted a lightning ever since i heard about them. i am now at college and so obviously i can't afford the new ones but i was looking at the older ones. can u make them fast like run 14 and 15 at the track. thats not to fast but not bad for a truck. i live in a small town in illinois only about 13.000 people so i don't have any where to tune my computer that i know of if i rebuild the motor with a supercharger and stuff. thats what i wanna do is beef it up a lil at a time. is this possible or should i save for a new one.
thanks

Start saving, drive the cheapest, highest MPG you can find for now, graduate, go get a new or nice used late model! Your colllege has to be the first and foremost thing to accomplish. It'll be over before you know it , and you will not have strapped yourself financially to get in the older truck!

Skrew it dude. Go out, get you a nice big fat loan. Put it down on an 04' Lightning supe it up. Now you can get you a RICH hot chick, get married and be a stay at home dad that sits around lets her make all the money and put stuff on your BRAND NEW LIGHTNING...................................LOL

I can see that you haven't been to the NLOC website........ www.nloc.net
Visit that site and there is endless info and help for lightning owners. There are guys that have tried about every part there is on the market and can tell what combo's work and ones that don't.
You can also find Gen1 lightnings for sale. Depends on the truck but you can pick some up at $6500 and up.
Gen1 lightnings are tons of fun n/a power.
My Gen1 lightning ran a 14.90 bone stock when I first got it 8yrs ago.
Hope this helps ya
