Yeah, sounds kinda odd to me too, but I also ran into this part in the ol barn. It's an adapter plate to throw a 4bbl carb onto a 2bbl intake.
I would assume these wouldn't give you quite the performance as an actual 4bbl intake. Is this correct? Have any of you ran one of these. Are they worth using or prone to problems?
Thanks much for any info!
Mike

Hey, I was just razzin ya a bit. 360 isn't that bad of a motor at all, definetly better than a chivy. It's just my opinion that Ford made better motors. But, as I stated, only my opinion.

Now alls I need is a boat to go with my anchor.....er...I mean motor.
FYI, the 360 is no boat anchor. If you're going to post in this forum you may want to change your sig.
Naw, only the crank and rods are the boat anchor parts there That 2bbl to 4bbl spacer also works the other way around. handy for bolting on a 2 bbl on a 4 bbl intake in an emergency.
I ran a 4bbl on a 2bbl 360 for about a year - it was a Holley 750. Definitely more high-end power than with the 2bbl and better gas mileage on the highway (smaller primaries).

I'll agree about the rods, but the crank is ok. Plenty strong, and can be used for destroker high rpm motor.
