02 XLS Escape Help please!
Hey everyone,
I just picked up a 2002 xls (manual) Escape and I really don't know much about. I know it has the inline 4 which I believe is a 2 liter engine or 2.3 liter. Anyway I want to throw on a brush guard w/ lights, roof rack w/ lights, and a rear bumper guard, water proof seat covers, dash overlay, engine upgrades and so on kind of stuff.
I was hoping you all being pros and stuff on this or at least been in this longer than I have could help with upgrades, companies that make this stuff, and general information on my SUV. I am looking for it all for this is going to be my project and show SUV. I am going in the direction of safari type SUV. It should look pretty nice when I am done and I will post pictures or something.
Now I know its engine is tiny and the 3.0 V6 is smoking in comparison, but that doesn't mean one can't light a fire under the inline four’s ace to get it smoking, well hopefully.
Nonetheless, any help or ideas would be a great help. Thanks and take care.

roof rack
For the roof rack, you might want to look at the one's that come on the "no boundaries" edition. It is quite cool, and if you're replacing the rear bumper anyway (the rack comes down in back and locks onto the bumper). I;m sure you could add lights to it. It is similar to the one's you see on Nissan Xtera's.
