I have a stock JBL premium cd player system (F37f-18C815-AE) that is now hobbling on one leg and I plan to replace with stock or new. Putting in a stock player eliminates all hassle but the new would be nice for MP3. I have a couple questions that will help:
There are 3 connectors on the back and only two are used. A very small one (upper right corner looking at the back of the radio) is not used. Does anyone know what this connector is for?
Has anyone just put in a Panasonic CD headunit and only used the off the shelf connectors ? I am looking at the Panasonic CQ-C1300U model (it supports the 8ohm stock speakers). Do I have to get into the bypass the stock amp issue, and if so, what happens to the woofer in the back passenger corner?
Thanks up front for any help!! I'm really leaning towards finding a stock unit just for simplicity.
