Hello to everyone out here(especially you Mr. T) !!
I was curious what people are paying for the 2005 Super Duty trucks.
I am not lucky enough to know anyone who works for Ford (A-Plan)
or any plan for that matter! Are you paying close to Sticker or Invoice?
In the Boston (south) area most dealers are almost giving the 2004s away.
Almost 10 thousand off sticker. No deals in the paper yet for the 2005s.
By the way did I mention Mr. T that I'm posting here? Any word if rebates
and/or other incentives are on the way?
I have an F-250 PSD CC 4x4 KR LB on order that will be here in 3 weeks that will cost me about $100 under invoice using X-plan. Seems fair given the popularity of all the changes. It was pretty hard to pass up all those offers on the 04 though.
I have a Ford F250 2005 SC SD 6.0 PSD if I remember corectly the truck stickerd for $48,615.00 I paid $43,330.00 he said that was invoice, I'll be honest i wanted the truck so bad I took his word. I know it is a little late now but how can I find out if it was invoice?
Go to http://www.fordvehicles.com and do the "Build Your Ford" thing, picking all the options you ordered - that will be fairly near invoice price, but not exact.
In my recent experience the "build your own" on the Ford website gives MSRP. The online quote seems to be about 10% below MSRP for a "loaded" truck, but is restricted to trucks currently in dealer stock. I elected to order my truck to get just what I wanted, and gave $1000 over dealer invoice. MSRP for what I wanted was $48,205. The dealer invoice on the order was $42,390.09, for a 12% descount from MSRP. With the $1000 added and the price (excluding sales tax, doc and license) agreed at $43,390.09, the price I am paying is 10% below MSRP. Hope this helps.
Ordered a 2005 f-250 crew cab lariat 4 x 4 6.0L with leather captains chairs, towing package, 6 disc CD, camper package, shift on fly 4 x 4, engine block heater, 3.73 limited slip rearend, power pedals and sliding rear window, FX4 package, and reverse sensor. Retail is $46,600. I pay $41,055 which is invoice.
have a F350 King Ranch, crew cab, SRW on order,, retail was $47,170,, paying $40,496,,
used Edmunds to build the truck and sent to five local dealers,, used the lowest response with the dealer I wanted to buy from,, they questioned the price and I just presented the e-mail from another dealer listing all my requirements and price,, they agreed to meet the price,,
I have a 2005 F-350 King Ranch SRW Short Box with every single option available except the snow plow.....MSRP close to $52,000.00...I got it for invoice which was about $45,500.00......and then I got $500.00 of using AQHA membership....Funny, the dealer asked me how many horses I had...told him none.....
On 8/06 I ordered a 05 F350 King Ranch totally loaded. I will take delivery next week. Retail was $51,955. DLR INV was $45,659. I paid $500 over DLR INV.
You can purchase a 2005 SD from Jeff (1956MarkII) at Van Bortel Ford in Victor NY thru the FTE purchase program for $500 under invoice (or X,Z,A plan if you have a pin#) before any rebates. This is available to all FTE members. He will order any 2005 SD you want. Look him up in the New Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Buyers forum.
Thank you for all the responses so far.
When I plan to order my truck (hopefully after X-Mas) a good friend of mine
is also getting a F-350. Anyone know if there is anything extra we could get? How many days does a typical Ford Dealer make 80+ Thousand Dollars
for filling out a few papers. I don't think we have any leverage at the current time due to the fact the trucks are beeing sold as soon as they hit the lot. Once all the people who have pre-ordered get their trucks, and the dealers get some stock (or even overstock) maybe we'll see some rebates.
Anyone ever done this before: get together with a few friends/relatives etc. and have everyone purchase a new vehicle together? Does the dealer say, "Gee, I have a chance to sell 4 or 5 vehicles today, so I'll give them a better discount or something." ??
Could we here on this group say in Jan or Feb make a mass purchase through the same dealer and if so, would we get a huge discount?

Not trying to be disrespectful billybubba just trying to pass on a little information. The Dealer doesn't make $80,000+ on the sale of two F350's on the same day. The dealer has to pay FMC the cost of the vehicle from the proceeds. The cost of the vehicle to the dealer is basically "Invoice" less any holdback which is usually about 3%. The hold back money is the Dealers gross profit that the dealer uses to pay all there expenses (ie. lights, rent, sales commission etc.) anything left after expenses is the Dealers profit. So on an $80,000 purchas Dealer sees about $2400 in gross profit before expenses. Here is a link to a more detailed explanation in the new car buyers forum: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=118160

There will probably be rebates on the 2005's later in the year, but that is up to FMC not the Dealer. And the rebates are usually started by FMC after they have already raised the price of the vehicle. The 2005 SD where originally sold at the same price as the 2004 SD but just this week FMC has raised the price on the 2005 SD. So yes there may be rebates in the future but only after FMC has raised the price of the vehicle.

Thanks again.
You can do that right now through the FTE purchase program. Currently FTE members can purchase 2005 SD at $500 below invoice, and receive any rebates that are available. See this link to the program: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=217560
Based on your example above of you and your buddy each buying a truck at the same time $80,000 total sales price for both. Dealer would see about $2400 in hold back money (Gross Profit). Through FTE dealer is going to give you $500 per truck so dealer only sees $1400 in Gross Profit. Don't know how much more dealer would be able to give you and still pay there expenses. Might be able to get a little lower price through a fleet purchase of 20 or 30 trucks at one time. You would have to talk to Jeff directly about this however.
