Some of you guys seem to get a hell of a deal. I think its because of ford finacing rebates. My truck was 40,999 and sticker was like 44,5XX, I didnt get any rebates
though cause i paid cash.
You can purchase a 2005 SD from Jeff (1956MarkII) at Van Bortel Ford in Victor NY thru the FTE purchase program for $500 under invoice (or X,Z,A plan if you have a pin#) before any rebates. This is available to all FTE members. He will order any 2005 SD you want. Look him up in the New Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Buyers forum.
I've been reading up on this, and would LOVE to buy through Jeff - he's such a great guy and all, and it'd be awesome to support him after all the help he gives us here at FTE... but, I'm sorta in California, and he's in New York.
I wonder if the flight over and drive back would be worth it, financially.
Are you in Northern California, or Southern California? I can point you to somebody in Northern as well as Southern california to get the truck for invoice....and if you join AQHA, you can get $500 rebate as well...
I believe that the ultimate price depends on what you order. I was told that if you order a King Ranch you are less likely to get invoice or under because the dealers have a allocation limit on King Ranch trucks. I was told that for every 20 Lariats they make one King Ranch. Can anyone verify if this is true. The best I could do on my loaded F350 King Ranch was $500 over invoice.
I also know that the word is out about the new 05 Fords and the activity at the dealerships is crazy. They may be less inclined to make deals. There is a new brochure that just hit the streets on the 05s and it is outstanding. My uninformed amateur take on things is that Ford is going to blow Chev. and Dodge away this year.

From what I have seen here in NC I would agree, these things are flying off the lot!! I have seen and driven the competition and the '05 will kick butt.
I tried for the AQHQ discount but they said I had to be a member for 6 weeks before the discount could be used ......If this is not true, can I still apply to Ford for the discount?

ryaneverk2,
You will have to determine for yourself if it is worth it to buy your truck from Jeff. You can always use Jeff's price to play one dealer off another in your area. Tell them you can buy the truck for $500 under invoice before rebates and ask them to match it.
I bought my truck from Jeff and i live in AZ. I ordered the truck and picked it up from Jeff in July 04. Here is how i looked at it; I can fly 0ne way to NY for $99.00, I make two to three diriving trips a year from AZ back through the Midwest (My dad & I collect & restore antique tractors), so starting the trip from NY was about the same mileage as a loop trip, plus i got to see upstate NY etc., and finally i really wanted to buy from Jeff if at all possible do to his honesty, integrety and all that he does here on FTE.
Ultimately you will have to decide if it works for you, and you could always make a vacation out of it.
Just my $.02

You have to be a member of AQHA for 30 days prior to taking possesion of your vehicle. If you qualify for AQHA go back to your dealer and make them fill out the rebate application. You will need a copy of your membership card for them to see.

Grayfox,
Your stealer... (oops dealer) is twisting the truth. Not all dealers have low allocation limits (sounds like your dealer does however), and FMC will build all the King Ranch trucks that customers want to order. Yes they do sell more Lariats for every King Ranch but that is do to customer demand.
You can buy any vehicle for Invoice before rebates, you just have to shop dealers. Curently you can buy any SD you want from Jeff (1956markII, an FTE sponsor) for $500 below invoice before any rebates.
Man, this was a difficult decision for me?? Wait for the 2005 model or try and get a good discount on a 2004. Finally purchased a F250 SD6.0 CCab SB FX4 with every option (actually more than I was looking for) this past June. Sticker was almost $48,000. Got the Truck for a little over $37,000. I have loved every minute spent driving it since. It is also about the 6 th Ford I have purchased at that dealership over the past years.
2005 model, that would be sweet!! Only change is would have gone with an F350 which they were really trying to push me into.
