Not exactly mass marketing. Same problem they had back when they where selling the Scout and other IH vehicles. People dumb enough to buy these for noncommercial uses aren't going to be smart enough to find a Navistar Dealership.
It's ironic that it has "commercial" in the title, but it's being marketed to people who want to "make a statement". I'm all for anyone's rights to do anything they want, as that means I can do anything I want, but for anyone who buys anything only to "make a statement", whether it be a fancy house, hummer, CXT, clothes, or anything else - I would suggest that they look at their priorities and whether they're really getting any benefit from their "statement".
Yeah, but who is really gonna go get a CDL so they can drive a pick up? Ford came out with this a few years ago. I have seen several. They are F650, and F750 crew cabs, with a reworked superduty bed. They are really neat and you don't need a CDL to drive them.
Ah, I can imagine that truck, with a nice custom trailer behind, with two of my mudrunners on it, and my company logo on the door. Think I could write it off?
chevy or gmc makes truck like that just without the international front end and f-350 bed but it still has the h2 body and its a chevy or gmc 7500 or 8500
Now that I see a photo, I think I saw a few at 2L Custom Trucks in Decatur, Texas. I'm not sure I like the bed though - its straight from an F-Series and doesn't flow with the cab. I like the look and versatility of hauler / custom beds better.
You can see the GM version at topkickpickup.com. The difference is that the 4500 series isn't severe duty, where the International is.
