I unplugged mine a ways back and everything has functioned fine since. So, I plugged it back in and I hooked up a diagnostics analyser today, and it did not show any evidence that it had been unplugged, so after the electronic look, I unplugged it again.

Bet there is since Ford routed the crancase ventilation tube into the intake between the air filter and the turbo.

Thanks PSD...but that takes more than 5 - 10 seconds to accomplish.

As opposed to the EGR valve falling off.

Well, OK...that takes me more than 5 seconds too, cause I have to get the step ladder out first.

Drighten. I have an 05, with cal. specs. But you can get used to the cel, it's better than gunking up the motor.

There must be a way to throw a electronic loop or resistance on the plug to fool it into thinking it's plugged in without buying a whole new dummy EGR to plug it into.

Now you are thinking Dogdoo. The problem is part of the EGR electronics is an EGR Valve Position Signal with a range of 0.6 - 3.5 depending on position that will correlate with the PCM. The device would have to be smart enough to match up with the position the PCM thinks the EGR valve should be.
