My truck had been sitting in the garage for a couple of weeks. Mainly due to the hurricanes here. The last time I used it I had to pull the stock trailer over to the market so I put the 45HP version in. When I got home I did the reload to 65HP. I had started it but not driven it since. Saturday morning I fire it up to head up to the farm, hit the interstate and no boost! I'm thinking what the heck is going on. I drive the interstate about 5 miles then pull over, lift the hood look around, don't see anything, turn it off, start back up and it is better but I can tell it's not right. After about 30-40 miles the power seemed to be back, the EGT's dropped about 100 deg. Seems to be back to full song except the mileage is down about 3MPG's. I read where you can go up and down with Pred tunes without doing a complete reload which is what I did. I guess I need to start from scratch and see what happen's. Should I go back to factory tune and start all over? Suggestions?
I read that somewhere too, but being cautious since the documentation on the Predator isn't so great, I always restore the factory tune, start/stop the engine and then load the tune I want. Anybody else ever call Diablo and see what they say?

Thanks SBV45. I wonder if I should disconnect the batteries for a few minutes also after reloading the factory tune?
No, don't think it's the predator.....
I've switched tunes many times without going back to stock first....
Bet it had more to do with the engine being stone cold and not run for that long... maybe fuel sitting for so long and possibily water in there from condensation and/or the "drizzles" you've had down there...
Any mornings when cold, I take it easy on mine for the first bit because it's just like me... lot of things creak and don't work as well as they used to until they've stretched out a bit...
so this sounds like yours just had to take a bit more time to come out of hibernation before it woke up....
And the documentation is on line at diablosprt.com - much each to read and search the soft copy than reading the manual....

Thanks for the info. My truck often sits for a couple of weeks because I drive the Jeep and this is first time for no boost. I too start out easy until a good warm up period. I am about 5 minutes from the interstate. When I said no boost, I mean 0 pounds being registered on the boost gauge. This thing is a pig without boost.
Thanks Tim. Did you have it replaced or did it fix itself? I wonder if anything will show up on the diagnostics? I got home really late last night so I didn't read the diag codes to see if it had thrown any.
another falacy you're spreading...
it's not a pig without boost....
it's an old, slow, arthritic pig without boost !!!!
recalls the time of the 135 hp diesels
Well it did it again. I pulled out last Friday morning after the truck sitting in the garage for about two weeks. Went to TS to pick up a log splitter to take up to the farm and NO BOOST. I drove shut off and on several times but no go. I did notice if I really wound it up (about 5 miles with no boost :-) when I left off real quick the boost gauge would jump 2-3lbs. I drove it about 100 miles and stopped for some food. When I came out the boost was back. This is a factory tune. Drove on to the farm and disconnected the batteries, let it set for two days without starting, started it up Sunday and BOOST still. Luckily for me as I needed to tow a trailer back with me. I guess I will take it in but I'm afraid since it doesn't throw codes they will say no problem if the boost is ok at the time.
Also my engnine has thrown #2 cylinder inbalance error since day one. After disconnecting the batteries and resetting everything, I drove it 150 miles and didn't get this error. It had always thrown this error even after clearing it and only running 20-30 miles. Go figure huh?
Thought my fuel gauge had gone south also but it seems my aux tank was siphoning into the main tank and kept it full. This one had me worried also as I have an electric fuel pump pumping from the tank into the fuel neck vent line with a tee. This is how I have always done it but I guess this time it kept siphoning.
Guess I will take it in as my SO is ordering a 05 GT Mustang from my dealer. She said she had to get something faster than my truck...
mine does that too. i just pull over, turn it off and restart. fixes it every time. my truck never sits more than a day and i drive it about 2000 miles a week. not too worried about it right now because it fixes easily. other than that the truck runs great.
btw its an 03 psd drw with the predator 65hp tune. it did it before the chip was put in as well. it only happens about twice a month maybe. i just attribute it to bad diesel.

Yeah but mine doesn't usually reset after pulling over and shutting off and restarting...It is probably the sensor that Tim mentioned. Hey Tim where is it located?
