Shock question - help.

I have an 87 F150 4X4 XLT Lariat with the factory towing package. The front IFS has two shocks on each side. It is all factory installed, the shocks are original with Ford part numbers on them (yes, they need to be replaced). Since this truck never sees offroad, what shocks do I replace with? Will using only one shock on each side be adequate, and if so do I mount it on the front shock position or the rear shock position?
Thanks to all in advance for your input.

I would just spend the $25 each for Monroe replacement shocks. Always do a job right the first time.

you need to replace all for shocks on the front at the same time.

You can run just 2 shocks on there if you want to. Just get shocks for a standard single-shock truck. Mount them in the rear position.
