[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Mar-02 AT 10:41 PM (EST)]I usually find a spot further from the doors to the store or mall entrance that I can park on one side of a light pole.
Never park near a shopping cart corral, you're just asking for trouble there.

I also look for special spots that would only allow one vehicle in that area not allowing anyone to park beside you.
These would be near a closed garden centre of a wal-mart,a concrete sidewalk between the regular parking spots and a driving service lane.
At Canadian Tire store lots,I park as close as I can to the Gas Bar.The reason is it is quite aways from the store entrance and the all people who work at the gas bar know me and will watch my vehicle while I'm shopping. They know me because I buy so much gasoline.

Mainly I look for Isolated (Room for ONE vehicle type)spots

Plus, I need the exercise.

I usally park towards the sides of the lots. for some reason around here people think they are closer to the door if they are in the middle row. but when I go to the mall parking ramp I have to park outside of the ramp. cause my company car won't fit in their ramp.
I havn't taken my truck there yet. yet I wonder why it is still under 4000 in six months. love them company cars. or buses depends on your view.

by the time you've installed the 12" lift and 44" hawgs, your door will possibly clear the top of most cars!!

It is simple Ford is the best..

hell, just park in two lanes in the back. No one will care cause they don't want to park in the back anyways.

thats what I do and it works just fine.

I hate the people who park behind you and don't pull all the way up and leave there car stuck half way out in the lane. this makes it near impossible to back out a long wheelbase truck.
