Anyone ever commit road rage? I did it was 14 years I was driving around a residential area and while at a complete stop for a stop sign a small Mazada pick up came at high speed around the corner he was sliding on the tar&chip road surface and came to at stop with his frount bumper 1/2 inch from my door he looked at me and I yelled what the he!! ya doing and he just totally ignored me so I backed my truck up so I could open the door and I went over to his truck he had the radio real loud again he ignored me so I tried to open his door but he locked it and quickly rolled up his window and put his truck in reverse and was leaving well I was so pi$$ that I just stepped back and let go with a big ole kick to his driver side door and the whole panel just caved right in just as this happen a friend of his just showed up to help him out well I figured that I was about to become the big loser in this so I got in my truck and left but his friend followed me to my house so I decided to own up to what I did and I gave him my phone # and said that I would pay for the damage well anyway the kid finally calls me and he says he doesnt want payment for the door he just wants to come down and kick my door in as well that just plain pi$$ed me off more and I yelled to him come on down buddy Ill be waiting for you and I hung up. Well 5 minutes later he calls back his voice is all shakey and he apoligizes to me for driving like an idiot and says dont worry about the door. Ya know the old saying two wrongs don't make a right is so true had the cops gotten involved we both would have been arrested. Looking back now this is funny but back then it was a real bad week or two....
I had a guy hit my truck with his car outside of chicago 2 weeks ago. He hit my bumper what a dumb***. I know its filtered but thats all that comes to mind. My bumper didn't even have a scratch, that goes to show you how dumb roadrage is.
bad thing about road rage is they become a very dangerous weapon when the driver is in an uncontrolable state of mind.adrenalin does strange things to the mind at times.
think about it this way, when somebody pisses you off enough to make you do stupid things, your letting them control you and your emotions. a total stranger is controlling your life. just don't let them do it.
The stranger did indeed took control that day I never even saw it coming as I am not in away a hot head I just think that his coolness attitude just brought out a side of me that surprised even me.
I've had a few times when I felt like jumping out of my truck and raising some heck, but I know that if I let my temper go, I will do something really stupid, so I just wave with one finger ( sometimes) and drive away grumbling. I carry my .357 and cell phone to call the police, in case some hardcase decides to follow me.
Just last week I was driving home from work, when suddenly I see headlights in my rearview mirror get real close, real fast. At first I think, great its a cop, but it wasn't it was some beat up little mazda truck. So if he's in a hurry, go around, right? (it was a 4 lane hiway) Ok, so I speed up a little (was going the speed limit, 55 MPH) So now the guy thinks I'm trying to race. So I finally get PO'd and hit the brakes. The guy backs off then passes me and gets right in the middle of the two lanes so I can't pass. Now I'm getting that RAGE trying to kick in! So I started following the guy, but he pulled into a pretty bad looking neighborhood, and I decided not to risk it. It's amazing how stupid some drivers can be! I wish I had been driving some POS truck, I would of just rammed into him!!
I think about it this way, some people are total idiots, they're out there and you'll most likely come into contact with them one time or another. Are they really worth losing your truck, licence or even your life over? Really?
I get pretty PO'd at some people, but when I really think about it, it's a fun idea to ram the stupid ricer off the road, but it's not worth it in the long run.
I never gotten road rage to the point of hurting anyone or damaging anything.
What really makes me mad though is when people get mad at you for doing something you're suppose to be doing. Like i was going into an intersection to turn left. The light was yellow, just about to turn red so i waited for the intersection to clear (remember drivers ed?)
You always have to wait until its red to turn, because 1 or two cars will still go through even though it's red. one car is coming up looking like it's going to go through so i wait, the guy behind me starts blaring his horn. Like wtf dude, i'm suppose to just turn right in front of this car thats obviously going through the light? The guy honking his horn isnt even isnt even suppose go.
So the car coming slams on his brakes when he sees it just turned red and i floor it out of there. Of course the guy behind me goes through the intersection right behind me and starts tailgating me (literaly) and flashing his brights up the on ramp. So i was so mad i just slamed on the brakes and came to a complete stop on the ramp. I got out the window and waved for the guy to come talk to me, he was a skinny accountant looking guy. He looked really scared and just stared at me. So i just floored it, and he kept a respectable distance from me.
I figured in that case it was kind of a smart move. That guy might of taken it even further on the highway at higher speeds, so i gave him a little reality check.
If anyone has road rage, it's me. I don't get violent, or physical, etc., I just get VERY ANGRY. My GF is oppisite me when it comes to driving. When I'm saying every cuss word that comes to mind, she's there trying to calm me down saying how the other guy is in the right.
I figured in that case it was kind of a smart move. That guy might of taken it even further on the highway at higher speeds, so i gave him a little reality check.
