You might want to search through recent postings. There were two that I read earlier today that said they had the same problem, that it is common on these trucks, and that it took 3 or 4 hours to replace a part in the steering column, I think.... in any case, there was a firly simple, not too expensive fix.

It wasn't wired using the stock trailer wiring, then. The stock trailer wiring isolates the front wiring from the rear wiring very effectively!
