Question Transmission Question

I have a 1994 Ford ranger 4X4 4.0L V6 with A4LD Tranny. I pretty much know what is wrong with the tranny from a previous thread i have posted. However I was wondering if anybody knew if the valve body of that tranny can be accessed and cleaned by taking off the oil pan and not having to take apart the whole tranny? If confused about what I am talking about please post question and I will answere. thanks

If you are not sure about auto tranny's, you might not want to start pulling things off. The filter and pan are one thing, but the insides are complicated. The valve body (at least on the C-5 I replaced) was pretty easy to remove, but I'm not sure if you can really clean it without taking it apart. Watch out for springs and ***** if you do.
