Aerostar engine in Bronco?

Aerostar engine in Bronco?
Does anyone know if the 3.0 Aerostar engine is set up the same as the Bronco or Ranger 2.8 or 2.9? How about using the 3.0 short block with the heads, intake and ecu from Bronco or Ranger?

If you happen to have a 2.9L.....ah, who cares, swap to a 4.0L anyway.
Why swap from a 2.XL *only* to get .1 or .2 liters out of all that work???

The only reason is because I happen to have the 3.0 in a van with bad trans. I have found a few trucks with bad engines for good prices. If I did not have the van I would go with a v8. Thanks for the info.
