winch battery hookup

Just finished my bush bumper/reciever winch project and am about to hook up the winch. Looks to me like it should go to the passenger side battery, is that right?
Thanks Eckart

If your battery cables are in good shape it shouldn't matter. I would go for the shortest possible run. You could run to both of them if you wanted to. IMO a good idea for a big winch. The downside is that if your winch melts you could lose both batteries and really be stuck. A battery isolator can save a battery for you just in case but your winch will only be running off of one battery so it will work the battery harder. I think it's a trade off either way.
