winch install

Can I wire my winch directly to the pass side battery or do I need a isolator?

Yes it can be wired in directly. I think you know that it can, but should it be isolated or have a shutoff switch when not in use. I am trying to wrack my brain to remember if our fire divisions winches are isolated..... I don't know. Maybe a jeep forum who deals more in winches would give better advice than I. Sorry.

can you put an isolator in? yes if you want to.
do you have to? no if you don't want to.

mine has been wired directly to the battery for 23 years with no problem.
