Problems with tequila.
One night I decided to find out what the tequila sunrise was all about. After 7 shots I was sloppy 
and the 8th left me throwing up
. Ever since then, when I try the same brand of tequila, just the taste makes me want to heave. I initialy got wasted on Pepe Lopez Silver and haven't tried any other brands but Pepe. Am I always going to have this reaction to Tequila or just Pepe or will this distaste eventually wear off? It's been about 2 months.
Anybody got any experience with this?

Problems with tequila.
Never try to out drink a Mexican when it comes to tequila!!! I don't mean that in any negative way, I grew up in SoCal so I had a lot of friends in high school whose parents or they were from Mexico. They taught me a healthy respect for the drink and if you drink enough you just get used to it. The best tequila is clear not amber. The color is usually added to satisfy the traditional American preference for dark liquor(whiskey, etc.). If you want a good one try Patron`. Very good. Most people have a tequila story, I have a lot you just need to get a tolerance to it.

Problems with tequila.
From what I know of tequila, none of the brands worth drinking have worms in them.
Also, in my experience with alcohols (for medicinal purposes only, of course...), it isn't just tequila that one can develop an aversion to drinking. It's normally whatever strong alcohol a person gets really sick off of that they get nauseous from from that point and on. Perhaps after a few years of avoidance, or a direct and hard fight to keep drinking it now, you'll become used to it again.
Good tequila can reach upwards of $55 a bottle... so there's still plenty of room to explore the range of tastes belonging to that behavior-altering beverage.

Problems with tequila.
I like Tres Generaciones from the Sauza family. Around 40 bucks in my area. I try to stop after three or four shots though. Makes me sleep like a baby. I know the worm lives in th Blue Agave plant when harvested but what I don't know is the significant it has. I don't think I could drink from a bottle with a worm floating in it! If you don't like the Tequila sunrises try setting sail with Captain Morgan.

Actually real tequilla dosen't have the worm. That drink is callsed mescal. Nowhere near as good.

Problems with tequila.
Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is my favorite right now. (Except for Godiva liqueur.) I love sweet things. I just seem to remember liking the tequila before that fateful night.
I was afraid that Pepe Lopez was the cheap crap, been trying to find some Casa Noble with no luck. What do you guys think of Jose Cuerveo?

Problems with tequila.
You will heal with time my friend. I had a similiar situation and it took me quite a long time to get over my aversion to tequila. My problem was drinking cheap stuff instead of good stuff. The cost difference is minimal compared to how it tastes and how you feel in the morning. Personally I like mescal, but it is only once in a great while.

you will get over it it will take years though i speak from exp. i used to just love potato water or vodka well one night and a half gallon of the old potato water ruined me for years 
on night of that and if i opened rubbing alchol i almost gaged but i am over it now but so what that is not the olny means of anebreation out there you need to move to beer it comes up alot eaiser and it leades to alot of good ideas like putting a 351 cleavlend in a 1985 ford ranger and then beer led to thoughts of putting a clevand in a 77 ford maveric
