1981 f 150 inline 6 4 speed manual on the floor. There are 6 bolts on the flywheel. The two on opposite sides of each other are being very difficult going in. I only have about 3-5 more threads to get in. Should I just keep using sheer force in putting them in? Will th epressure plat ebe this difficult?
I would take it back apart and chase the threads out with a tap & put in new bolts if the threads are damaged on them. I would also use a round file in the press. plate holes, to remove any burrs.
never use force it will hurt you every time. not saying snug is bad but grunt force is never right. i also know on a lot of thies the bolt patterns are a one way thing i had one that with all but the last bolt in the last hole was off buy 1/4 inch unbolt move it around 1 hole and it went in easy? you tell me?
My 2 cents
