C6 problems
ok,I have a little 87 F150 with a trans problem(well,a lot of problems but this is the major one).300I6,C6,BW transfer(forgot number),355 gears,blaa blaa.I bought it several months back,turned around and got talked into buying a newer truck(hey,Kinfolks co signed and made the down payment couldn't argue!) and sold the little 87 to my cousin.Well,He decided after 6 months that he didn't want it and wants a POS honda.Now it is mine......well,here comes the problems.Even though he is one he has no idea what a dipstick is.He never checks anything ever if it doesn't have a guage on the dash....and then he usually ignores it.Well,I drove the truck today and the trans has a problem.I put it in D and it takes forever to engage.Like 3 seconds.If I stop at a light or sign and start to go it takes 3 or 4 seconds to lock up.Then when it shifts into 2nd it feals like someone dumps a clutch.It Grabs like crazy.Anyone have any idea what the hell this little idiot did to my truck?I am afraid to drive it since the rear end is about to let go(Seal and bearings shot at the input shaft,Whines,knocks when you put it in gear,etc) and the hard shifts put way more stress than I like.

nah,My aunt is the type that thinks if it is shinnier,newer,and has a warrentee then it is ALWAYS better no matter what shape the old thing is or how complex and agravating the newer one is.
