NP203 range box crawler conversion

NP203 range box crawler conversion
This is interesting.
I'm in the process of dropping my C-6/NP205 married unit
for some work to both units, and I'll twinstick the 205.
While I'm at it, I'm interested in the "dual transfer case"
conversion that mates the NP203 range box to the input
of the NP205 for crawl capability. Different companies have
adapters to do this, easily. Has anyone here done this, and
if you have, how has it worked for you?
My '77 F-250 driveline-
460 V8/C-6/NP205 married unit/ Dana 44 front/Dana 60 rear, discs
on all corners. 3" body lift/6" suspension lift, 44's. Everything stock
except for the 460 install (L and L components), body/susp. lifts
and the Eldo calipers and discs bringing up the rear with service
and parking brakes.
Just curious...

have a couple of buddies in my Bronco club that have the 205/203 doubler and they love it esp with the triple stick. i have driven them and man what an awesome feel. it is on my long *** to do list! i am searching for a 203 right now so i am one step ahead....of course i gotta swap my 205 twinstick in first!
only thing i can' get over is how expensive the doubler adapter is! if it weren't so much....like closer to $150 or so I would have already done this

I have the stazworks doubler kit. comes to your door for just under $500 shipped.
then you have to have the drivelines shortened/lengthened to fit. the tranny cross member has to be cut to clear the front driveline. and if your going thru all of this you have to do a twin sticked 205 plus the 203's shifter. now that you have the doubler set up there is no real since in running puny 1310 or 1330 series drive shafts so pony up for some bling 1350 high angle CV's that means you need flanges for your 205. thats another 200 bucks.
then that brings you to a great problem in your drive train. Front D44 and a rear 60 are not going to take kindly to the lowered gear ratios your going to be giving them with those 44's on them. you better find a 60 front and a bigger rear axle.
