I started a metals shop class in school today and we can either choose a project that the teacher has on a list or come up with our own. I'd like to build someone for my truck/car/bike but it has to have welding, lathe work, and some other minor things. I also have to be able to have a blue print for it. So I'm looking for some project ideas with blueprints that I can find easily. I always wanted to make a roll bar to put inside my truck but theres no room after I put in all those stupid speaker boxes so thats out of the question and that was my only idea. If you know of anything that would be fun to make, let me know. Thanks
how about a brush guard. that'd be cool. or a light bar in the back. Just some hints. the brush guard would be the best though, harder but way better IMO.

Do a search for lincoln welding foundation, then look under their projects sections. Or check our Dave Wright Welding, he alos has a web page that is devoted to projects . Good luck
Make a custom gear shift ****. I made a cast aluminum skull in HS. I drilled out the eyes and put in red glass ones. I also put a lamp inside of it, pretty cool.
How about something ariginal for your Bronco? Maybe some billet ***** for the dash, a custom milled rearview mirror, And possibly a custom grill. Stay away from the standard bumbers and brush guards, every kid does them every year. You will get more respect and higher grades with original items.
In my high school shop class, everyone else made small items, I built a 16ft trailer and a 3000lb BBQ pit for our lions club. This thing was almost like a greasy spoon kitchen.
It had a hot water tank (a stainless tub right over the fire box filled with water) grilling area, smoke chamber, and a stainless griddle. It was built back on '85 and they still use it today!
