Hi there, rebuilding a 302 for a 1991 F-150 4x4 (I don't have any 351w's in my area so swapping at this point and time is not worth it!)
I have been looking at Crane Cam's new Power Truck cam part #443904
it is a 260/272 204/216 (@.050) with .456 .484
Is this a good cam? The rest of the engine will be stock for a little while, then I will get into changing heads and intake. I will put headers and 2 1/4 cat back exhaust on it.
the block will be a 1995 roller, but I will be using my 1991 intake as my computer is speed density, my main concern is when changing the firing order, do I have to switch the injectors around as well as the plug wires? I am a little confused over this bank injection v sequential multiport injection
any help greatly appreciated, all the engine parts websites say their product is best and I really don't buy into 'em.
Look at Comp Cams (computer controlled for E.F.I.) speed density, works w/stock computer. Very strong torque, excellent mileage, and good idle quality. Operating range is 1000 to 5200 rpm's, camshaft part number 31-255-5, cam grind number XE250H-14, Duration advertised intake 250, exhaust 260, @ .050 intake 206, exhaust 212, valve lift w/1.6 rocker intake .462, exhaust .474, lobe separation angle 114 deg.
It does not say that you have to change the firing order, however you can contact Comp Cams at 1-800-999-0853 to get a definative answer. They are nice to do business with and are usually very helpful.
You may want to put headers on so you can get as much from the cam as you can.
