I have a 2003 150 supercab..w 5.4 v8..Class 3 towing group...3.55 rear limited slip axle,17 inch tires,and sticker saye 6500 gvwr pkg...i just bought a TT with 5600 unloaded..
Am i going to have a problem towing?for some reason i thought i had 7700 lbs gvwr because of the towing pkg and 17 inch tires.any input is welcomed.

Welcome to FTE. You should be ok. I have a 4.6, with 3.55 and 17 inch tires and can probably tow that much. I am not sure but I think shorter tires can help tow more. Taller tires are good for mpg. Take it easy until you are used to the weight. Good luck with it.
with all these posts about towing capacity lately, I thought I just had to post this.
this is what can happen if you go over (really over) the tow capacity of your vehicle:

I think you are confusing GVWR and GCWR, they are two different things. Carefully read the towing part of your owners manual. GVWR is how much the fully loaded truck can weigh, not the trailer. GCWR is the total for the loaded truck and trailer combined. This figure should be around 12,000 lbs for your truck.
