I'm looking for a set of Nerf bars for my '90 F150 super cab. The truck isn't anything special (but I do want SS, not black ), so I don't want to put a $500 set of bars on it - but, I need something so my kids (5 and 2) don't have such a tough time climbing in.
I've seen some on Ebay for $180-220 and such. This is more of what I would like to pay. Anyone have any experience(s) with these thing via Ebay? A couple of the users/companies were "bigrunstepbars" with 445 feedback (100%) and "Bestlesstruck" with 3422 feedback (99.7%). Anyone ever deal with either of these guys?
I bought a set of Chrome Stainless off eBay earlier this year. The sellers name was yourwheelman & was rather surprised on how quickly they were shipped out. When I got them the packageing wasn't the greatest, but everything was intact & damage free.
The instructions, to me seemed hard to understand (hey, I'm a man & read the instruction. Give me some credit). I made due with what I had & got them on the wrecked truck to see if they would look good when I'm done rebuilding it. Very sturdy also, I weigh 250 and they suported my weight, I was jumping up and down on those things trying to break em lose but they never gave in.
I think with such high feedback ratings either of those sellers should be fine. Just be sure what you're bidding on will fit your truck before you bid. And watch the shipping charges; many sellers will have a low item price but high shipping.
