I posted this here because ya'll are my friends and I stay in this forum mostly.. But I just wanted to let ya'll know I'll be leaving for 6 months.. When, I'm not sure of.. I was just told that one of our divisions need 88M (Truck Drivers) for a transport support mission in Iraq.. We'll be driving HETS transporting Heavy Equipment from Kuwait to Iraq for 6 months.. It will be my second trip to Iraq and I have a third schedule with my division at the end of 05.. So if I disappear and no one sees me post or I dont get a chance to drop a thread you know what happen
I promise tho when I get back.. 7.5" Lift here I come ;-) LMAO!
Hey man good luck there, you're the kind of person America depends on to stay free. We'll all miss your posts around here!! You said promise so you gotta get the lift too!!! lol
Thanks bud.. I'll get the lift lol... It was a shock when they told me.. I heard about the request for support but I didnt think they we're going to send me... Im the most experienced in my unit so I guess it was bound to happen... I'm taking two new privates with me... Its going to be a long few years.. If we leave as they say.. When I get back Ill be home 3 months before my division goes back.. I signed the line so I know what is required of me.. I made it a year last time, I can make it 18 more months
studly...What is your rank? I go to a military boarding school, I am a lance corporal, pretty crappy but I'm not much in the military system here I just go to school here since its one of the top 9-12 academic schools in the nation. so you will be there about a year, come back for 3 months, and then go back like 6 months?
Thanks for your service to our country. Best wishes for a safe and successful deployment.
I enjoy having you among the crowd and look forward to having you return.
Feel free to e-mail me if you ever have the chance. I'll be glad to pass along any updates to the 4.2 gang.
Good Luck Stormin, and I know we will see you back here soon. Take care, stay safe, and keep your head down and your gun clean. We lost a driver a few months ago, so please, man, just watch your back. I never did get a chance to go over before I got out.
13th Coscom (Ft Hood, TX), 79th Trans Battalion is requesting 88M.. You could contact their hq and ask about going.. They're requesting 88M and 63B for this support.. Strictly HET transport between Kuwait and Iraq for 6 months...
