Codes

I hear all these people talk about the codes that their trucks are telling them. Im guessing these are through tuners or something?

Yes.
The Check Engine light comes on letting you know that you have a problem somewhere. That's when a code-reader can tell you where and maybe what the problem is. AutoZone does this free of charge and I think other parts stores are catching on.

I've refered some to autozone as well, not knowing really if they can read the CAN protocol we have on the 6-oh's...

but I personally use the predator tuner to read the codes...
