Guage Cluster Removal

How do you get the guage cluster off, I took the steering column shroud thing off but I'm lost, I have got no clue from there. And I cant figure out what nuts and bolts the Haynes manual is talkign about, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pull radio, remove ashtray and ashtray track, remove panels under steering column, loosen two bolts that support steering column and lower column, with your fingers pull off dash bezel surrounding gauge cluster/radio/etc. The rest is just small hex screws.

Take the screws off the around the ashtray.. theres only 2. also remove the ashtray itself, with cable.

Now, you see the plastic panel that surrounds your cluster, ashtray, radio, vents, heater controls, etc? Pull it off starting at the ashtray, and the far left vent and work your way to the center. It just pops off with your hand. Go easy, but firmly. Watch out for your radio. Once thats off, theres a bunch of hex screws around the guage cluster. Remove them. Once you got the clear plastic off the cluster, everything comes out by hand in sections. Notice the vertical lines, start at the ends. The only thing that doesn't comeout just by hand is the speedo. Theres only 2 small phillips (star) screws there. Enjoy.

also, depending on the radio, you might have to pull it first before you pull the big panel......

In addition to what I mentioned above, if you wish to remove the ENTIRE cluster from the dash you will have to reach under the dash and release the speedo cable. There should be a plastic connector (probably white in color) on the cable common to the speedo. With your fingers, you release the locking tabs, then pull it back from the speedo. If you look at it before you begin, it should make sense.
