this might be a dumb question but im gona ask it anyway i just got a polished aluminum diff cover for the rear of my truck the gear oil it calls for is a 75-140 full synthetic which is about $14 a quart at advance auto i was wondering if 80-90 would be ok in it with a bottle of limited slip additive thats what they run for years im just not crazy about spending $50 in gear oil when i aint got that much more in the cover itself

Don's skimp on the gear oil!!! With the massive torque that the PSD makes you'd be surprised at how hot the rear axle gets.
I just put in Royal purple max gear 75/140 in my rear. and i switched the atf in my manual traney to Royal Purple syncromax. I used to have trouble shifting before i switch, now i can actually speed shift without grinding gears. Best thing i ever did is to stwitch to RP.
