SCanner codes// 603 and 108

well i went in to have the 97 f-350 scanned for the hiccup problem
Ford's telling me i have the following
a 603 (computer can't keep memory alive)
and a 108 -map sensor is reading high input..
They want to change the map and the computer
Does this sound right??
Can the computer just quit like that??
And the map sensor will cause my hiccuping they say..

I don't think you need a MAP sensor. The PO108 is BARO high input, which would come from the PCM's internal barometric sensor.
The MAP sensor codes are P0236, P0237, and P0238
The P0603 is set anytime you disconnect the batteries. Almost everyone has 603 stored.

where do i go with this hiccup thing then..
Thats the only codes they pulled, I've changed my camp sensor
and the hiccups are still there..
Nothing else is throwing a code
