Trailer Wiring Woes
Does anyone have a trailer wiring schematic. The previous rocket scientist that owned my truck failed to use the plug in option for trailer brakes and cut the harness up. SOOOOO now I need a copy of the schematic if anybody has one. Any help appreciated.

okay the schematic I have is for a 02
Blk - gnd
org-battery charge to trailer
yellow-lft turn
dark greenn-rght turn
bk/lg -reverse lamps
bn/wh- parking lamps
Do you need to know pin number for the back of the the 7 pin connector?

What I am worried about is right out of the main wiring harness there are 4 wires that have been cut next to the brake booster. The colors are red, white, light blue and black. The truck has the 7 pin harness and the 2 relays and the fuses in place for the trailer tow package. I am just unsure of what they have done with the cut wires.

Those are not part of the trailer harness those are customer access wiresthat they left dead ended for the purpose of adding things and not having to run wires through the firewal
what is it your trying to hook up and get working?

2 have shrink tubing. The red one has been cut and the white one has a blue butt connector on it. That is what was throwing me. I guess they were using them for something.

I have the correct Ford trailer harness that should have plugged in under the dash. I guess I can cut the end off of it since the other end under the dash is gone and hard wire it. The cut wires under the hood were the ones that were confusing me. I guess I can just match the wire colors, they should be the same once I cut the connector off.
