Engine Seize?
I havent tried this yet but my dad says to take the spark plugs out and pour some oil down the holes so it would lube the cylinders up and hopefully break loose whatever is sticking. However I dont know if anything welded together or if it almost welded or not. Is there a way to take this stuff apart and fix it with minimal costs rather than having to buy a new engine? Here are my options right now:
1: buy a new engine somewhere.
2: Is it possible to convert a bigger and better engine that is fuel injected with a turbo into a Bronco 2? If so what kind of engines and what would I need to do it?
3: Take it a part and find out whats wrong with it, but how do i do that?
4: any suggestions on what i can do to fix this?
This engine already has 198k miles on it, it had 193k when i bought it. SO really what im ASKING is what is the best thing to do it and how to go about it.
Another thing is my brake lights and rear anti lock brake lights stay on even after releasing the park brake, whats up with that or is it a glitch? What do i do to check to see whats wrong? I hate mechanic shops so I rather do things myself so i can learn to do it too.
Another thing is the paint. Anyone know how to paint cars? I want to sand the paint off and repaint it and make it look good what steps do I need to follow to do this?
Thanks any help or feedback would be appreciated.
What your Dad said might work but you have done serious damage if the engine is locked up.
Based on the way you asked the question about taking the engine apart it sounds like that might be over your head.
You could get a 4.0 and swap that into the truck or pickup a used/rebuilt engine depending on your budget.
For the brake light, check the fluid level and make sure the float in the master cylinder is not stuck. If that doesn't work check out the link for pulling the RABS codes on old trucks in the tech info thread.
