4 barrel intake:
i just acquired a 4 barrel intake off of an ft engine. the motor is either a 361 or 391, i'm not sure which. i want to put it on my 390, but the parts store says the intake gaskets have different numbers between the fe and ft motor. it might be because the ports are a little bigger. it looks identical externally. will it be allright to use it on my 390. i have a book that addresses other parts on the fe's but is very vague on the ft interchanges. any help will be greatly appreciated. have a great one,ron.

Welcome to FTE!! The FT manifold would be a poor choice on the FE. The ports on the FT manifold are much smaller as were the ports on the head of the FT.
Technically it would work but it wouldn't make too much power and it might not run perfect due to the port size difference.
