I've been offered a 1989 Aerostar 3.0L. The tranny is gone, I would buy it as a parts car for my 1993 3.0L. Does that make any sense? Is the engine identical, could it be swapped? Body parts (doors, fenders, windows)? Are the wheels (rims) the sames (lug hole distance!!) Or is the 1993 model all different so nothing would fit? Thanks for any input.
Wheels are the same, basic body parts (sheet metal) are. Interior is all different. I suspect basic engine components are similar but there may be diffenences in the fuel system.
