OE Jasper E4OD
I was wondering if someone could tell me if Ford put Jasper built E4OD's in 1996 F-150's. I recently bought a 1996 F-150 4x4 and the dealer said that the previous owner stated that it was OE. It shifts really well and tows like none other; probably the best transmission I have ever seen. The truck is extra clean and looks like the trans has never been out and has a Ford ID tag on it. Was he just blowing smoke or is it really an OE option to have a Jasper transmission and if so how rare is this?
