motor swap
i have 90 f-150 with a 5.0 and plan on putting a 5.0 ho motor in it. Has anyone done this? the truck is speed density would the ho cam be to big? The firing order is different on the ho also, will this effect the firing of injectors?

I know people have done it, and it should be a straightforward swap if you use the HO longblock and all the external parts from the truck engine. I can't say for sure on the cam, some will say it is too big, but I have heard that the stock HO cam is about the biggest you can get with no modifications. It is probably worth a try, then if it causes problems, you can do a maf swap or something later. You won't have to worry about the injector order using the truck EFI. It fires 4 injectors at a time, and it is set up to work with both firing orders.
