I am in college and have survived thus far in boring classes. However, I got this one teacher who is how shall I say this....who is like watching a bird slowly die as it is eaten alive by fire ants. She knows her stuff, but is very picky and extremely boring. You just don't know.
That is what I love about college. If I get to the point where I just can't stand to sit there and listen to them drone on and on and on...I just pack up and leave without saying a word.
i am in the 11th grade and i think about something different or just draw (doodle) or sometimes i usually put a dip or a small amount of chew in and it goes by faster.
Buy a Ti 83 plus calculator and the USB cord. Makes your classes into nintendo time! i used to play this game all the time in chem, and i just sorta absorbed what the teacher was saying while i played. if he walked by i just pretended i was doing a equation! i got a 85 overall in that class for the year, not bad when i played mario and space invaders!
After 230-odd credit hours of college over 19 years, I got pretty good at showing up for class physically but not mentally. I can sit down, phase out, and wake up when everyone else is getting up to leave. I really tried not to sleep though--seen too many guys start snoring, and then everyone starts snickering. That attracts too much attention and most instructors will eventually notice. Had some that would join in the snickering, or worse.
This thread is a little boring. Can we spice it up a little?? The answer is... no. Some things were destined to be boring, especially if you have a superior intellectual capacity and selected the wrong field of study. If you are bored then maybe it's time to kick it up a notch and switch to something that interests you as well as keeping you mentally challenged. NOT nintendo or doodling.
hey bud, if you didn't like the thread then dont say anything... we're just having a little fun... most of these "boring" classes are required fields of study, something that none of us like to take but have to to meet the states, or school requirements. You cant try to tell me you've never caught yourself day dreaming in a not so entertaining class, thinking about the girl next to you, or dozing off. just something to think about. personall i thought this thread was cool.... o yea today we pulled a 3rd grade stunt..... remember POGS? i found some in my closet (hadn't been cleaned in a while ) and we played with em during class man that brought back memories
Most degrees today require that you have some 'diversity' inr your curriculum. This means that engineers have to take world civilization, and economics, etc. It's not a matter of being in the wrong field sometimes.
I downloaded an applet onto my phone that lets me play Texas hold 'em. Also, if you bring a laptop to class, you can play games, and when the teacher walks by, flip to a word doc that shows you were taking notes.
