I simply gave my opinion on this thread, just as opinions were originally offered about the teacher who was like "a slowly dying bird eaten by ants". I'll bet no one would ever say that to the teacher before grades were given out. Some threads on this website are downright exciting, just not this one.
This thread is a little boring. Can we spice it up a little?? The answer is... no. Some things were destined to be boring, especially if you have a superior intellectual capacity and selected the wrong field of study. If you are bored then maybe it's time to kick it up a notch and switch to something that interests you as well as keeping you mentally challenged. NOT nintendo or doodling.
The problem is with college is most of the time your first two years your stuck with classes that you dont like and you dont have a choice of what you can and cannot take.
Whatever floats your boat, the ants thing was merely how I choose to describe this woman. I find myself zoning out a lot in her class and surprise myself when I don't find drool. The fact that I had her for Eng 101 isn't helping at all. In high school I always liked getting a new magazine and reading it in class, you know you prop up your binder w/ the mag on top. That stuff was great....ahhhh memories. I'm at a junior college so I can't take my major related classes yet...as for the ladies: there's four of them directly to my left in that class. -Bill
I usually bring a cocktail to class, that helps (IF you're of legal age to drink, of course) Kind of a bad idea when I had a 3 hour (yea) poli-sci class. I had a hard time getting back across campus.... I've written papers for other classes, done ALL the work for the semester during lecture, that kinda stuff. I agree, you should pay attention as much as possible, but often times, unless you're a complete dope, you realize either the class is pointless or listening to the prof is, they can actually confuse you more than help you.
I WAS a class sleeper...one time the teacher joked that no one wake me up after I fell asleep in her class, and no one did. I woke up in some drool and a dark classroom, no joke, 1 1/2 hours later. Another time...definitely farted and it woke me up. That was it for me sleeping in class right there.
All you guys still in HS, enjoy it now. Never again in your life will you have such a diverse slection of girls to choose from. The only way you can avoid that is to go to a /major/ 4 year university, preferably a party school. Community College leaves much to be desired in the "hotties" deparment.
I just started my first semester of college this fall, almost 2 weeks now. I am at a community college right for the first to years to save money and since the first 2 years is your basic classes anyway.
While the core classes are more fast paced (College Calculus, English, Physics) I have to take this one class called College Introductory... Let me tell you... Well hold on... OK I can make this story short... My professor is a complete idiot. I swear he must have been born in a barn! Imagine this: Your professor thinks you have to put in a CD-ROM that comes with your textbook to access there website, give me a break!?!?!?!?! Come on, this guy isn't teaching me, he is making me dumber, I am a website designer and computer programmer and I know over 15 computer languages and this guy is trying to teach me, why o why can't I test out..... I tend to find myself playing with my moded TI-83 Plus Silver Edition Calc!!!!
I just started at NC State last week. I'm a Ag Engineering Major, and the most boring class I have is Sociology and English 101. My Senior English class in HS was harder than this class is.
**The down side to the girls--most have bad reps--the ones that attract my interest anyway, cause they will sacrifice their self respect and character for a night of fun with a flaky-not-respectable boy.
Im in 11th grade and most of my classes I sit in the back due to my last name(W). I find counting ceiling panels and looking out the window at the constuction right next to us. On the other side of the school I get to see a pasture and cows. Not the most entertaining but it does pass time quickly believe it or not.
