the average rate is about 80-100 dollars for a cessna 172 depending on the age. most training aircraft are in that range, most places give you a deal on the aircraft when you are training with them.
It is interesting to see those that pursue it further and those that walk away after few flights, I am only limited by the dollars I have and every flight is unique.
Just got back from flying a 172 from Ft Collins via Goodland to Manhattan. Goodland is always a good airfield to land at. Ft Collins Downtown may have the most eccentric lineman you may ever meet. And he may be filthy rich.
Could my 28 hrs. that I have in be applied to a sport license, even though they were all logged before the sport licenses came out? It's been quite a few years, I'm sure I would have to do some backtracking. -TD
