what does code 31 mean

what does code 31 mean
I took my bronco to autozone for a engine dianostic and they told my that code 31 was showing. Can some body tell my what it means? They said it was some thing to do with the EGR val.

its most likely your egr valve position sensor is going bad. Replace it with a new one for maybe $25 from advance auto or whichever store. It might be a good idea to check everything first using a repair manual, but thats up to you.
Code 31=
PFE or EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts
PFE or EVP circuit has intermittently failed below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts
