I am going to buy an F-250 in the near future. I am either going to get a Lariat loaded or a King Ranch. Would King Ranch owners please let me know if the extrea dollars are worth it for a KR.
But the King Ranch option requires you to add Lariat Lux package, and 18" rims, and one of the two tire choices. Then you will be obligated to many of the other cool and very necessary options, upfitter switches, engine heater, Trailer brake controller, hitch, electric slide rear window, moon roof, and on and on until the MSRP will scare the H3LL out of you...
Never fear you can get it back down to under invoice right hear at FTE in the new buyer section.
I have a 05 V10 F350 LB 4X4 King Ranch being built just for me this week in Kentucky

I just ordered an 05 with 20 options (52K msrp/45K invoice). If you plan to use it for pleasure and work, as I am, then also plan on spending a lot of time protecting the interrior during work. Seat covers, wheel cover, etc. That is critical for resale. I drove the highest end Lariat and a King Ranch before ordering. No doubt the 17K option is worth it.
If you plan on doing a lot of driving then deffinatly go for it, I never wanted the option when I ordered mine but when I pulled into the dealership and he had his arrive with the KR pkg I convinced him to take my truck in exchange for his plus of course the difference.
But the seats are amazing and very comfortable and hold you pretty good. Much better than I expected. Take a look at my gallary you can see the seats as they are.
I like the King Ranch model so much, that I bought two! I wasn't really keen on having the front captains chairs because I wanted the 40/20/40 bench, but that's what came in the package. The leather in the King Ranch model is awesome. The diamond plate insert running boards look sharp also. The bed rail caps are also painted to match the accent color and look good also. I'm pretty sure the King Ranch model will hold more re-sale value also.
People can hardly believe that I actually use my truck as a work truck (nothing too bad, just towing my Bobcat around). My wife's truck actually get used like a ranch truck and gets horse hair and hay in the interior after a day with the horses.
By the way, I just received an email from my dealer saying that Ford has increased the price on the King Ranch package on the Supper Duty trucks. The package went from $2995 to $3185 I ordered my 05 F-250 PSD CC 4x4 KR 3 weeks ago and he said mine will be one of the last ones he was able to order for that lower price.
Moosekingranch: thanks for the link I ordered my leather conditioner from them last week should see it here in about 2 more days. I just ordered the HItch cover it's on back order till the end of the month, it'll be worth the wait though.
dawk57: You'll love your king ranch, you'll be glad you got it.
Got my 2005 F-350 King Ranch 6.0 PSD SRW Short Box about 3 days ago and am still smiling ear to ear....Love the castano leather.....I would do it again in a heartbeat.
