vapor lock or fuel pump
I have a bronco with a 302 when the engine heats up it will start to sputter and die if I let it sit for an hour or so it will fire up and run fine until it gets hot again. I sound like its running out of gas. or vapor lock but I thought a fuel injected engine cant get vapor lock so im also thinking its the fuel pump in the tank. How can I test the fuel pump without taking it out of the tank or is it vapor lock? any suggestions? Thanks Dan

The last 2 vehicles that I had do this it turned out to be a bad pick-up coil in the distributor. It would sound really lean and even smell like it too, but it was actually losing fire, not fuel. After it sat for awhile, it would run great until it got hot again.
