Speed Sensor on a 91 ford explorer?

Speed Sensor on a 91 ford explorer?
Where does this thing go? I looked all around the transmission and I couldn't find it. My book doesn't have it in there. Any ideas? I have done work on my car on just about every part and every place except for the transmission. Can some one tell me where it goes?

I finally found it and I took the old one out and put the new one in. Speedometer still doesn't work. The yellow gear at the end of the sensor had a place in the middle that looked like it was worn out but it may have been there already. Its has a place on each blade of the gear that scoops in like it has been rounded out. Is it suppose to be like that?
