Checking Vin for Towing Package?
Is there a code in the vin for heavy duty towing package? I have 94 f150XL 2wd that I have towed with a lot (150+kmiles)and I was curious if I have a towing package. I have 3.55 gears and 5 leaf springs in the rear. If I remember correctly it says 6250gvw in the door jam. Thanks

Without the limited slip, I would say probably not. Usually the tow package included a tranny cooler, an LS axle, and a larger radiator. As long as you're not overheating the engine or tranny, I wouldn't worry about it.

An oil change requires 6 quarts in my truck. Im going to check my radiator to see what size it is. would it be 3 core? it seems as if i have half a towing package so far. lol
