This is my first thread so bear with me,
I have been researching the variety of performance modules that are available for my truck for the last month or so and I am about to make a decision on what to purchase. My question is if the Superchips module affects the shift points of the tranny only when the throttle is wide open or will it change them progressively depending on the throttle position, any feedback is much appreciated.

It all depends on how the programmer programs the chip. With Superchips he's not likely to have any choice over the program selection for your vehicle (Superchips officially dropped all EEC-IV support, which includes your vehicle). Most non-custom Superchips tunes for that era only bump up shifts at WOT.
With an SCT (Superchips Custom Tuning) chip we can tune it for just about anything, and have a wide selection available for Diablo as well. Both allow you to switch positions (SCT-5 positions, Diablo 3 positions).
Thank you, that pretty much makes the decision for me. For the type of use that the truck receives a progressive module would be the most effective route to take.
