oil change question

hey guys, just wanted to know if i do my own oil changes, do i have to clear/reset anything after the oil change so the engine light or service light won't go on? i have an acura, and after oil changes, the service guy has to clear/reset something so the service light doesn't come on. thanks!

Hmmm, I have the Lariat with the message center and haven't cleared it when I changed my oil. Reading the owners manual, I didn't see anything about this either. Did I miss something?

I was under the impression when I bought the truck that the message center would tell me how much oil life was left, but it has never told me anything other than the oil was "OK". I now have 11,500 miles on my truck and will be changing the oil again soon, fill me in if I need to reset the computer somehow.
