Would that two-stick been called a BROWNING? I used to ride with my father back in the sixties and I think that's what he called it.
Is he a driver? That would be too funny!
I remember the twin stick Mack being refered to as a "Quad box". Went to pick up some heavy equipment one time in a '73 D Model with a Quad box. The truck had a mind of it's own. It wanted to drift into oncoming traffic everytime you went to shift. The horn would decide to blow at anytime on it's own. The truck felt like it had no suspension system on it at all! Nicknamed "The black beast", it was finally taken off the road.
Virginia Troopers have blue lights on their cars, and I hear them called "Blue Light Specials" all the time...
Until I pulled my cobra out of the Taurus, I used to hear the same guy every morning going over the Hampton Bridge-Tunnel calling out "RABBIT IN THE HOLE!!!"

Here is one to make you think. My grandfather has his dads first logging truck, a 1929 mack. Don't know what the model (it is chain driven) is we are supposed to restore it one of these days. If you want a challenge to shift this is for you it has more levers and pulls than carter has pills.
